Success and Motivation Book in the Style and Management of Atatürk
499199 Toman
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder and first president of the Republic of Türkiye, is the most influential leader in the country’s history. Over his lifetime he achieved a great deal, turning Türkiye from a centuries-old empire into a modern, secular state. Atatürk was a great leader and a successful strategist. He knew how to plan to reach his goals and how to carry out key strategies at the right time and in the right circumstances. His strategies and roadmap for turning Türkiye into a modern, secular country were highly successful, as if he were ahead of his time: where ordinary people saw grey rain clouds in the sky, Atatürk saw the sun behind them; where ordinary people saw their reflection on the water, Atatürk saw its depth; where ordinary people saw a mountain, Atatürk thought of the diamond hidden in its heart. This is exactly what every great leader, entrepreneur and successful manager of a growing company or large organisation needs to see today: to recognise every obstacle that may stand in the way of growth before it happens, to decide, and to apply the prepared solutions at the right time. An excellent manager in a large organisation needs outstanding communication and listening skills, must encourage teamwork and involve employees together in setting the organisation’s goals and policies, and, like an experienced senior military officer, must turn threats into opportunities when needed and give the team motivation and a winning spirit in times of despair.
This book is for people who seek success. It helps you use the strategies of a great and influential leader to reach your own goals. I believe Atatürk’s strategies can benefit everyone in every area of life, and can help you succeed in both your personal and professional life. In today’s world, full of challenges and opportunities, achieving success is a unique art and science. Taking a deep look at the life and actions of Atatürk, founder of the Republic of Türkiye and a symbol of willpower and strategy, this book tries to offer practical guidance for reaching goals in personal and professional life. With a far-sighted vision and an extraordinary talent, Atatürk not only redrew geographical borders but also transformed the culture and values of society. Through his strategies for success he was an example of transformational leadership beyond the ordinary, steering history towards change and progress. Combining Atatürk’s stories, experiences and strategies, this book invites you as a reader on a path full of motivation and determination towards bright and fruitful days, and gives you the tools and guidance you need to find your way to success. We know that every challenge we face is an opportunity for growth and progress. With Atatürk’s lessons in hand and a focus on strategies for success, we can lead the way to success as culture-makers and pioneers.
Many articles and research books have been written, and are still being written, about Mustafa Kemal “Atatürk” (meaning “father of the Turks”). It is almost impossible to discuss secularism in a Muslim society without Mustafa Kemal immediately coming to mind. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founding father of the Turkish nation, is a complex, much-loved and much-debated figure. He is widely admired for the role he played in modernising Türkiye and founding a new, independent state. A hundred years on, Atatürk’s legacy matters greatly, especially as Türkiye continues to develop. For those who believe in the importance of separating religion from politics in an Islamic system, studying Atatürk’s experience is essential. His reforms were comprehensive and transformative: he abolished the Ottoman caliphate, separated the state from religion and introduced many reforms, including women’s rights and a new Western-style legal code. His aim was a modern, thoroughly contemporary Türkiye that had joined the European community. By forming a provisional government in Ankara, today’s capital, he defeated the Allied expeditionary forces and so won what later became known as the Turkish War of Independence. He then dissolved the weakened Ottoman Empire and in its place openly proclaimed the Republic of Türkiye.
